Ground was broken for an $8 million, 25,000-square-foot R&D facility in Danville, Virginia, funded through a grant from The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification Commission and Community Revitalization Commission.
The Sustainable Energy Technology Center (SEnTeC), located on the campus of the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR), is being created to develop enhanced bio-based fuels.
Dewberry is the lead design architect on the project; Lord, Aeck & Sargent is the laboratory design architect and sustainability consultant.
